Our Vision:
To develop a biblical community of servant-leaders to faithfully follow Christ and serve His cause.
Our Mission:
The mission of Front PORCH is to provide university students
with personal encouragement, programs, and resources to foster development
of a Christian world view, a perspective on life and thought that
meets the intellectual challenges of university life and the personal
challenges of contemporary culture with hope and empowerment centered
in the person of Jesus Christ. Front PORCH provides an hospitable
place in the diverse university environment for open and constructive
discussion of truth claims, where the integration of faith, learning,
and life is explored in ways that honor the highest value of each
person.
Our Identity:
To that end, Front Porch strives to be:
A witnessing community - where our lives of
service and words of love communicate the good news of Christ.
An authentic community - characterized by trust,
honesty, and realness. A safe, welcoming environment where dialogue
is open and people can share issues close to their heart.
An equipping community - where Christian leaders
are cultivated to develop their minds, their talents, and their
gifts to serve the Church and the world.
A worshiping community - marked by laughter,
prayer, joy, and praise with the sole aim of bringing glory to God.
A thoughtful community - where the issues of
the day are freely discussed and students are challenged to develop
a worldview that interprets all of life through a Biblical framework.
A church-based community - where students can
both find a home and discover the value of investing themselves
in a church body.
Our Location: We are right behind the Poly health center where Foothill deadends into campus. (Across from the Newman center).
